Library visits increase

THE borough's libraries are celebrating a bumper year with a six per cent rise in

visitors in 2009. More than two million people visited Camden's 15 libraries last year with more than a million items taken out on loan. The increase is in part due to extended hours across the borough. Over the next six months all libraries across Camden are set to undergo refurbishments and development

as part of the £1.5million Growing Your Library programme.
