ROBBERS pistol-whipped a betting shop worker before helping themselves to cash from the till.

A pair of raiders entered William Hill bookmakers in Haverstock Hill, Chalk Farm, and began threatening the staff with a gun and a knife. They then attacked one of the workers, punching and kicking him and hitting him with the gun before fleeing with the money.

One of the attackers was a dark-skinned European and the other was black, say police hunting the raiders, who struck at 9.25pm on January 25.

No arrests have been made and inquiries continue. Anyone with information is urged to call the Flying Squad on 020 8358 1751 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
