Who is your dream travel buddy?

A RECENT survey found that outspoken Lily Allen would be the dream travel companion for Camden residents.

The pop star was the surprise choice of travel companion for people leaving London for a weekend getaway, according to the survey by National Rail. The least popular celebrity to escape it all with was socialite and model Peaches Geldof.

And in neighbouring boroughs Islington, Hackney and Haringey it was gameshow host and Twitter king Stephen Fry who topped the list as best travel companion.

So is Lily really the first choice for people looking to flee the fumes? Or would you prefer to spend your time away with someone else?

Reporter DUNCAN HEPBURN went to Chalk Farm Road, Chalk Farm, to find out what people thought.

l TACO KAMPSTRA, 44, who works in the Roundhouse, in Chalk Farm Road, said: "I think Winston Churchill would be the best person to spend time away from London with. I just think that he would be a very interesting person to get to know and I think he would be full of some good stories."

l TOBY MARRIOT, 34, who lives off Chalk Farm Road, and plays in Indie rock band The Strays - who played at King's Cross venue Monto Water Rats last week, said: "It would have to be a woman. I would say probably Alison Mosshart from group The Dead Weather. I think she is very cool and I think we would have some good fun together."

l ANDREW KNIGHTLEY, 31, who lives in America, and is also part of The Strays, said: "It has got to be Kelly Brook. She is great looking and it would be good to spend some time with her and see what happens."

l ALEX SMART, 29, who works as a physiotherapist in Chalk Farm Road, said: "I have just finished reading

Pele's autobiography and I really enjoyed it so I would go with him. We could talk football and he would definitely have some good stories to tell about his life and career."

l KARLINA SLIWINSKA, 29, a project manager for a business in Chalk Farm Road, said: "There are no celebrities that I really admire enough to spend time away with them. I would much rather spend time away with my friends and family or just go on my own so I can meet some new and interesting people."

l ASHLEY KITOTO, 18, who works in Louie Louie clothes shop, in Chalk Farm Road, said: "Pharrell Williams because he is hot. He is also very talented and creative as well and I think he would be a very interesting guy to get to know. We could go away to an island somewhere and forget everything else."

l LORNA BLOOMFIELD, 21, who lives in Archway and works at Louie Louie clothes shop, in Chalk Farm Road, said: "Russell Brand is very good looking and he's also very funny. You just wouldn't get bored of him and you know there wouldn't be a dull moment at all.
