HERE they are... the kids who won the hearts of our readers in our search to find the Top Tots of 2009!

We asked our readers to vote for their favourites from the entrants in the two age groups – under 2 and age 2-5.

Thousands responded by voting to help us pick the winners. The votes flooded in by phone, text and on our website.

And it was a double triumph for the Marsh family, as siblings Bly and Levi took the top prizes in each age group.

And in the Under 2 category, sister act Terri-Lee and Hayley-Jade Staromiesjki earned runners-up prizes.

Tony Allcock, editor of the Gazette, said: “Once again our annual contest has proved ever just as popular as ever.

“We’d like to thank all those involved – particularly the N1 Centre at the Angel, which hosted this year’s competition, Ian Courtier and Limelight Photography, who took all the pictures, and all those readers who took the trouble to vote.

“The competition has been a lot of fun and we’ve had so many cute kids – it’s a great shame they couldn’t all be winners.”
